Genny Bee May-Montt was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. She started her arts education at the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts eventually  graduating from California College of the Arts in San Francisco.

Currently, in her practice abstraction plays a key role. Though she considers herself primarily a painter, she will incorporate other elements in her practice. 

Her work has been exhibited in group shows around the San Francisco bay area with several pieces in private collections.
